Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has gone beyond more than one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on Drug prevention helping young people make informed decisions, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
